My career trajectory has been amazing thanks to internal mobility opportunities at Intuit. My growth during my tenure both laterally and upwards culminated in my position as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Intuit India. Four years ago, we were at the cusp of transformation at Intuit India. I took on an interim role to manage an additional portfolio within talent acquisition, along with my primary role in talent programs. Although an interim role, I used my skills and experience to assist the talent acquisition team and provide on-ground support to the leadership. Little did I know that it would bring invaluable experience and open doors to bigger opportunities. Here’s what worked for me. * I leveraged Intuit’s Customer-Driven Innovation (https://lnkd.in/g6fXUdKW) and Design for Delight (https://lnkd.in/ggJuww9g) to identify customers' pain points that helped in recruiting suitable candidates for teams and leadership positions. * My effort to identify team strengths and amplify them helped me uncover developmental areas, escalated them for visibility and laid down a mitigation plan to assist them in achieving their goals. * Established transparency and ensured the leadership team was well-informed of issues for prompt action.After a few quarters, I moved into a permanent role with an expanded charter that facilitated my lateral growth. Intuit’s internal mobility and willingness to push boundaries can boost growth for both tech and non-tech employees alike, as I’ve experienced firsthand. With the launch of Intuit Assist across our product line has opened up numerous mobility pathways for engineers to broaden their expertise and consider transitioning to AI roles with better career prospects.
